The Partners congratulate Sam Humphrey on his appointment as Deputy Chair of the New Zealand AIDS Foundation

LeeSalmonLong solicitor Sam Humphrey has been appointed as Deputy Chair of the New Zealand AIDS Foundation. The Foundation is a charitable trust set up in 1985 to prevent the transmission of HIV and provide to support to people living with and affected by HIV and AIDS. While medical advances mean that people living with HIV can live normal, healthy lives, both the HIV epidemic and stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV persist – 178 people in New Zealand were diagnosed with HIV in 2018 alone. The Foundation’s mahi is focused on tackling these challenges. Sam was appointed as Deputy Chair of the Foundation for a one-year term. He has been a Board Member of the Foundation since April 2018.
